the Martial Arts Federation for
World Peace (MAFWP) in
cooperation with the World
Tong-Il Moo Do FederationPhilippines (WTMF-Philippines)
held its 4th Graduation
Ceremony at International Peace
Leadership College (IPLC)
Tanay, Rizal, December 14.
The series of this training program leading to one year Tong-Il Moo Do
(TIMD) Martial Arts Training and Peace Studies aim to raise young people
especially the out-of-school-youth and the unemployed individuals who become
the victims of circumstances and injustices by the systems but were reformed,
developed their self-esteem, motivated to do good things right and became
productive in the community. We call this “From Zero to Hero Project” from
nothing to developing.
The program started with the opening remarks delivered by Dr. Felicitas V.
Sicam. IPLC Vice-President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) as she recognized the
presence of the speakers and guests. It was followed by giving of the certificate of
completion to the graduates led by the Master Bernardino Villagante, director of 1
Year TIMD Training and Peace Studies and the testimonies of the selected
graduates of the program.
The program continued with the presentation of the Goal and Purpose of the
1 Year TIMD Instructor’s Training Course & Peace Studies presented by Dr.
Venus G. Agustin, IPLC president. It was succeeded by the remarks and message
by the guest of honor, Dr. Joon Ho Seuk, founder of TIMD Martial Arts and a
special message delivered by Mr. Rolando Rivera, the representative of Governor
Rebecca `Nini` Ynares.
The graduation of 120-day TIMD Training program has been endorsed by
the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). Lee Han Ji (External Cooperation
Manager of Martial Arts Federation for World Peace), Lim Seong Mak, Seong Hee
Cheol (Korean TIMD National Director), Kiyonori Ihara (Cheon Wee Hak), Choi
Jong Gyun (Sun Mun University Department of Sports), Dr. Julius Malicdem
(Chairman, WTMF Philippines), General Manager Budofredo Fajardo (Founder of
Filipino Fighting Arts International and President of MAFWP-Philippines) and Mr.
Salvador Arabit were present on the event. Mr. Li Frank Moring, IPLC Student
Council (SC) president served as the events master of ceremony.
