ATHLETAL UPGRADING SEMINAR TO ACHIEVE THE OBJECTIVES OF THE STRATEGIC PLAN 2017 AND THE VISION 2020

INTRODUCTION
The resolutions resulting from the strategic orientation seminar of the Ivorian Federation of TongIl Moo-Do, held from 04 to 06 November 2016 in Abidjan, highlighted two major points: (i) expand
TIMD in all the provinces where the FFPMU is located, (ii) Energize established clubs. This
dynamization consists of an upgrading the clubs and the athletes on the national territory.
It is with this in mind that Instructor Jean Claude UM-MAHOB (Secretary General of the
Federation) and Chief Instructor of Tong Il Moo-Do Club in the city of Gagnoa, requested and
obtained the approval of the Board of Directors Of the IFTIMD to organize a three-day upgrade
seminar in Göh region. This seminar was held from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 February 2017.
Twenty-five (25) students from the TIMD club of Gagnoa took part in the seminar. Also were
present Mr. Yves GNACABI, President of the FFWPU of the province of Gagnoa, Mr. Jean Claude
HUM-MAHOB Chief Instructor of the club, and Mr. ADJA ADJA Saint Clair, Instructor and
President of the Permanent National Commission responsible for the regulation of the Discipline
of the validation of applications for degrees and integrated projects.
I. Purpose of the Seminar
I.1.Overall objective
The main objective of this seminar was to assess the level of advancement of the learners’
techniques and to provide technical corrective measures validated by the national technical
management.
I.2.Specific objectives
More specifically, these are:
– Report on activities at national, continental and global level and guidelines.
– Introduce the new procedures for registering local clubs with the authorities.
– Carrying out training sessions and reinforcing the capacities of the Instructor and the Athletes.
II. Expected results
– Report on activities at national, continental and global levels and guidelines are presented
– New registration procedures for local clubs are presented
– Training and capacity building sessions are carried out.
III. Workflow
The seminar focused on (04) activities: (i) reporting activities at national, continental and global
level; (ii) presentation of new technical provisions; (iii) presentation of registration procedures for
local clubs; (Iv) capacity building for learners.
3.1. Day of Friday, February 24, 2017
The day of Friday, February 24 was marked by a welcome session followed by exchanges of
instructor ADJA Saint Clair at the home of instructor Jean Claude UM-MAHOB at 7 pm.
The exchanges covered general information as a record of activities at the national, continental
and global levels. In this sense, instructor ADJA spoke about the training of the national team of
the IFTIMD which are held all Saturday in the various clubs of the city of Abidjan on the one
hand and on the other hand, invitations to tournaments From April to Mombasa (Kenya), and
from October to Rio (Brazil). He added that the IFTIMD, under the chairmanship of instructor
KOUAME Khassy Georges, is changing to offer the best.
In addition, he mentioned the trip of the National President of the FFWPU in Korea for a seminar
of the leaders. Undoubtedly, the IFTIMD projects will be presented and defended so that the
TIMD at the national level will have a better future in terms of infrastructure and equipment.
Finally, he spoke of his Gwe Club Tong Il Moo Moo club, explaining that this one wants to train
good people and people of value as the philosophy of Tong Il Moo wants -Do inspired by Dr. Sun
Myung Moon And the Founder Dr. Seuk.
As a result, a special training session between the two Masters completed this first day around 10
pm.
3.2. Day of the Saturday 25 February 2017
Saturday, February 25 was marked by two events. In the morning: A training session was held at
the Dojang in the Dioulabougou information hall, under the direction of instructors Jean Claude
HUM-MAHOB, and ADJA ADJA Saint Clair (9 am at 12.30 pm).
The afternoon session was attended by a few parents who came to encourage their children. The
training included one step sparring (So Saeng) and two Bon, Pyung Hwa Eui Bon and Sawi Gidae
Eui Bon. The theoretical meanings and their applications were made. The athletes as a whole
enjoyed the second day of the seminar
3.3. Sunday, February 26, 2017
The green space of the Education Center of the Families Federation for World Peace and
Unification served as a framework from 10 am to 1 pm. In the presence of the regional leader Yves
GNACABI and many members. The two instructors gave a brief report on the activities of the two
(2) first days and recalled the objectives that are aimed at achieving the vision 2020.
Testimony through sport.
The leader encouraged and congratulated the two (2) instructors and all TIMD officials at the
national level. As a result of the practical sessions were held, this one focused on: Basics falls,
Throws, immobilizations, work on the ground and the self-defensive . Once again, the athletes were
seduced despite the physical energy expended.
IV- Closing
The closing ceremony took place with the family photos and encouragement of the different
leaders of the affiliated organizations (FFWPU-WFWP and UPF).
