Introduction
As part of the operational follow-up of the federal activities, the Board of Directors of the Ivorian Federation of Tong-Il Moo-Do (FITMD) met extraordinarily on Saturday 18 February 2017 in Abidjan, “Yopougon Maroc” at the request of the President National Mstr KOUAME Khassy Georges to assess the level of progress of the technical national commissions.
Five (5) points were on the agenda: (i) Information, (ii) Level advancements trainings of the National Technical Direction (iii) club recordings, (iv) Federal Code, (v) Martial Arts Festival Preparations, March 11, 2015, and Other.
I. Information
Two (2) information points introduced this meeting:
1. Greetings from Masters Moriba KONE and Clarence INGALWA
2. Presentation of the new “Dojang Vertu”
II. Level advancements trainings of the National Technical Direction
Mr. YESSO Anicet Célestin (National Technical Director) made a general survey of the
situation of the national team. This state of play has highlighted the good progress of the
training and to clarify some difficulties related to the weak federal technical equipment. Mr.
KOUAME Georges and Mr. BOHOUSSOU Dieudonné, respectively President and VicePresident of the Federation, urged and instructed all athletes to be more assiduous in their
work.
III. Club Records
As regards the registration of clubs, Mr. KOUAME Georges, having listened to the activity
reports of different instructors, make all the participants aware of the need to update
themselves on the registration of their clubs to the police headquarters of their city and to the
sub-prefectures for those in the country side. He also indicated that this recognition by the
Ministry of the Interior will allow the finalization of the technical file of the FITMD with the
General Director of high level sports, in order to obtain our final status of Federation
recognized by the State of Côte d’Ivoire. In order to follow up on this diligence, he asked all
club officials to send the copy of their club’s registration receipt to the Federation Secretariat
no later than 31 March 2017.
IV. Progress report of the federal Dress-Code
In order to prepare hearings between the Board of Directors and the administrative authorities
and future partner of the Federation, Vice President BOHOUSSOU Dieudonné was asked to
carry out surveys to estimate the cost of the Dress Code of FITMD. To succeed to be well
equip, everyone was asked to contribute as soon as possible.
V. Preparations for the Festival of university martial arts of March 11, 2017
As part of the extension of activities, the Board of Directors was seized by Instructor DJEYA
Leger to indicate the modifications occurred in the organization of the University Festival of
Martial Arts which will be held on March 11, 2017 at the university ALLASANE
OUATTARA of Cocody. Following this information, the Board of Directors examined the
file and asked Instructor DJEYA Leger to follow the progress of the meetings in order to give
him all the information relating to his participation.
Other
– To promote the practice of TIMD in the interior cities, Instructor ADJA Saint Clair
(President of the National Technical Commission for the Regulation of Discipline), at
the invitation of the Secretary General of the Federation instructor Jean-Claude UM HAOB will be in Gagnoa from 24 to 26 February 2017 for an athlete upgrade seminar.
– In order to harmonize our interventions in the dojangs, a guide to the words of the
inspirator of the Tong-Il Moo-Do Reverend Dr. SUN MYUNG MOON is being
prepared, as well as the technical and philosophical guide to the levels of Progression
from the white belt to the black.
