11TH TONG-IL MOO DO TOURNAMENT FESTIVAL

POST-EVENT REPORT
The Philippines 11th Tong-Il Moo Do Tournament Festival was successfully held last
September 8- 9, 2018 at International Peace Leadership College (IPLC) Gymnasium, Sampaloc,
Tanay, Rizal started from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. It was participated by more than 400-500
participants coming from the different regions & TIMD chapters in the Philippines and other
Martial Arts style of discipline. The theme of the festival was “Loyalty and Filial Piety is the Key of
All Victories”. The festival started with the short parade of all the participants, and the
sportsmanship pledge lead by Mr. Allanbert Romarate & Mecca Garcia.
Master Bernardino G. Villagante gave the opening remarks and the President of WTMFAsia Master Venus G. Agustin gave the inspirational message during the opening program. And
we had also guests from NCR TIMD Chapter Master Raffy Rabaño and others was coming from
IPLC Administrative staff.
The Ballet Form Competition was leading the first day of the event with 6 team
participants with novice and advance category. Followed by the competition on special
Techniques (Kicking’s, Rolling, and Jumping sidekick’s) in two division male and female, of nine(9)
to twelve(12) years old (children), thirteen(13) to seventeen(17) years old (junior) and
seventeen(17) above to (senior) . Individual Form, Synchronize Team Form Competition,
Freestyle Form Competition, Standard Form Competition, and Standard Team Form Competition.
Proceeding to the second day of the event it was formally started with the opening
remarks with the WTMF Philippines, National Instructor Master Almer J. Namata as to affirm the
highlight of the festival the Sparring Competition play a part by other martial arts style from
Kyukusin Martial Arts, Sikaran Sampaloc, Team Elorde and the TIMD from different chapters in
the Philippines, with novice and advance categories with 7 Divisions each for the Men and 7
Divisions for the Women.
The tournament turn out as remarkable when awarding ceremony came into view in the
last day of the tournament with the warm smile of all the players as they saw the Medals And
Trophies. The tournament was successfully concluded with the closing remarks of the President
of WTMF- Asia Master Venus G. Agustin.
